Drawing a parallel between a high-rise condominium and a mature tree, the concept of a bird's nest naturally emerges as a dwelling within a tree's structure. This analogy underpins "The Nest" within The Tree Pattanakarn-Ekkamai landscape project, which employs a design motif representing a large tree, from its foundational roots to its uppermost canopy, where the bird's nest is reimagined as a central architectural feature.
The ground level incorporates a paving design derived from the intricate patterns of tree roots and annual ring. This design delineates various active zones, such as cycling platforms and simulated rock-climbing areas. Ascending to the podium garden, the layout is inspired by the organic lines of tree branches, creating passive spaces conducive to relaxation, reading, and collaborative work through integrated outdoor co-working seating arrangements. The building's rooftop culminates in a distinctive facade for the fitness center, shaped like a grand bird's nest. This architectural element is strategically positioned to reflect into the surrounding swimming pool, thereby generating a unique and prominent visual landmark for the project.
