Discover Bangkok’s Colors, Unlock Its Hidden Jewel
At KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton, the landscape architecture plays a vital role in translating the hotel’s design narrative into tangible experiences. Drawing inspiration from Kromo or Chroma—the intensity and spectrum of colors—the landscape is conceived as a Cabinet of Wonders, where every outdoor and semi-outdoor space reveals a hidden story and a unique jewel of Bangkok.
Our design celebrates the city’s vibrant rhythm, cultural heritage, and tropical charm through three jewel-inspired landscapes:
Garnet – Drop-off, Level 1
The arrival experience embodies the spirit of discovery. Inspired by the historic canals and piers that once defined the neighborhood, the ground patterns shimmer like water reflections, while lush tropical greenery is accentuated with a deep garnet-red planting palette. A signature planter, recalling the form of a traditional boat, anchors the space with cultural resonance. This creates a powerful yet welcoming sense of arrival — the first glimpse of Bangkok’s hidden jewel.
Ruby – Pocket Garden, Level 11
Nestled within the guestroom levels, this intimate pocket garden offers calm and privacy. The soft green planting palette evokes freshness and serenity, enhanced by bold orange terrazzo planters that sparkle like a Ruby. The garden becomes a moment of pause — a rare discovery of tranquility within the heart of the city.
Zircon – Sky Pool, Level 28
At the rooftop, the landscape reaches its crescendo. The swimming pool is framed by a vibrant orange ceiling with modular forms inspired by gemstone cuts, creating the feeling of floating inside a luminous jewel above the city.
By Day : The pool’s surface mirrors the ever-changing sky, deepening the sense of infinity.
By Night : Light and reflections transform the space into a glowing stage, making the ceiling and skyline dazzle together.
Through these three jewels, the landscape design at KROMO Bangkok transforms urban spaces into immersive experiences — harmonizing colors, stories, and nature to reflect the hidden treasures of Bangkok.
