AIT Library Park

On this occasion, Ixora was entrusted with the redesign and enhancement of the landscape surrounding the library and the connecting pathways to the student residences. The design was guided by three core principles:

 

1. Universal Design – ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for all users.
2. Preservation of Existing Trees – conserving the natural landscape and its environmental value.
3. A Sense of Safety – providing comfort and security for users at all times.

 

The pedestrian pathways are enriched with low-maintenance plant species, carefully selected to create a refreshing contrast of lush green tones. Specially designed seating areas, with extended dimensions, provide flexible options for individual or group use under the shade of existing trees. Additionally, open spaces such as lawns and multipurpose courts have been incorporated to accommodate diverse activities ranging from outdoor learning and group gatherings to casual relaxation.

 

This landscape is envisioned not only as a daytime activity zone but also as a wellness-oriented environment that supports students and residents in every aspect of life. It encourages walking, exercising, and recreation around the residences, while simultaneously promoting both physical and mental well-being. The result is a sustainable landscape that enhances quality of life and enriches the overall academic atmosphere.
